Pipeline markers and signage within the right-of-way identify MarkWest pipeline systems. The following items may indicate a Natural Gas or Natural Gas Liquid leak or failure:

In the event of a pipeline release or pipeline emergency please remember:

  • ALWAYS turn off and abandon any equipment or ignition sources around the emergency
  • ALWAYS leave the area in an upwind direction
  • ALWAYS warn others to stay away
  • NEVER use a phone until you reach a safe upwind location
  • NEVER start or drive any vehicles into or near a leak when leaving the area
  • NEVER light a cigarette or create any form of ignition source
  • NEVER attempt to turn or operate a MarkWest valve even if you’re an Emergency Responder
  • NEVER try to extinguish or control a pipeline fire
